Well, in two weeks, I'm going to be leaving... Not permanently, but long enough that it might as well be that way; coming back is going to be like starting over. XD
Long story short: I'm going to be spending the next two years in New Zealand, serving a mission for my church. This isn't a spur-of-the-moment decision (I hope that would be obvious O.O), and I'm doing it willingly - and paying my way. I suppose the details don't really matter, though. Suffice it to say that, for the next two years I will have very limited internet access, and so I won't be getting on DA (hopefully I'll find time to draw, though!).
For most people who read this, I guess it wouldn't matter much. I already post rarely enough; what's two years of inactivity? XD For those I talked with a lot, well, I obviously won't be able to talk with you for a long time (unless you felt like switching to conventional mail. I will have an address while I'm in NZ after all. If anyone would care to, you can sent me a note about it). For everyone else, know that I will be coming back, and as much as possible would like to pick up relatively where I left off. That being said, if you happen to change your account or otherwise go out of contact, drop me a note saying where you went to, and I'll try to catch up with you in two years. XD
I'm going to get a LOT of backup in my deviantwatch from this. I already get 80+ per day, on average. Multiply that by the roughly 730 days that I'll be gone... XD 60,000 deviations, anyone?
Anyways, don't think I'm going to up and leave right this moment. I'll be around just as much as always until the 21st. I just didn't want to leave for two years without giving those who cared a bit of advance notice.
I'll update this journal if I feel there's anything else I need to say.

DeviantArtist Questionnaire
Conveniently enough, my last journal was about a year ago. Funny things, these dA birthdays.
1. How long have you been on DeviantArt?
6 years, 3 months, and 3 days
2. What does your username mean?
It doesn't really mean anything. It's from a dragon character I used to RP as in a text-based RP game set in Anne McCaffrey's Pern world.
3. Describe yourself in three words.
Dragons, programmer, nerd
4. Are you left or right handed?
Right
What a random question
5. What was your first deviation?
It just happens to also be the first piece of artwork I ever drew: Having a Good Laugh
6. What is your favourite type of art to create?
Dragons

My DeviantART Story
My dA account is 5 years old, but I've been lurking around the site for a fair bit longer than that.
DeviantART has always been a site that I come to to find awesome art. It should hardly be a surprise that the art I looked for on here was dragon art. I think I first discovered the site because of a friend who was posting some personal art on here and shared it with me, but I really started to frequent dA when I came across awesome art like this.
I started building up a "collection" of my favorite art from dA even before I had an account here. If you go through my favorites and go all the way to the last pages, you can see which pieces I fa
Life(, the Universe, and Everything)
I don't post many deviations, but I seem to post even less journals.
Life is pretty lively! I partly don't draw much because I'm busy with school, my new family, and a part-time job. I'm nearing my final semesters at university; I'm graduating next semester! Also, classes end in a week, so I should have more time to do the stuff I want to do.
Sometimes that stuff is drawing, but more often of late it has been programming-related. I suppose it's a good sign that I spend all day at school programming or doing homework or just programming for work, and in the evening I still want to program for fun. It's one of those things that shows you you

I'll be doing one of these sometime in the future as well, and you got sent to the only other country in the world with real fjords like mine.
When you come back you should have many rich experiences with you. Best of luck. Unfortunately I was late in posting this comment, too.
